Boston Market, Buy 1 Adult Meal, Get 2 Free Kid Meals

For those of us who have many little people to feed, this feeds three people for $6 (or in my case five for $6). Which I consider awesome when I'm tired and hungry and in the vicinity of Boston Market. And they even have vegetables that taste good to kids. And me. So I'm totally going. See the details here. Most important is no coupon required. And they want to see your kids. So no sneaking two kid meals back to your husband (wink, wink). And it ends on Halloween.

Target 75% off Swim Gear

While returning some items today, I noticed that they were marking down swim gear to 75% off. I picked up a couple of mega floats for the twins and a backyard pool with a slide and waterfall for about $20. The pool is going to be one of Enoch's b-day presents next year. Just in time for swimming to get started.

You just have to see this

Does it make me a bad person that I find this amusing? OK, so not the broken chicken legs and scalding to death. Maybe it's the suggestion that we wear the evil Ronald mask to school. Something about it just had me laughing silently. Maybe they should send out Evil Lisa masks next.
Oh, and it's FREE!

Free Starry Night at the Museum

Florida Museum of Natural History is having a Starry Night this Friday, Sept. 25th, from 5 to 10 p.m.

This is what their website says about the event:

See the night sky closer than ever before. Join the Florida Museum of Natural History, the UF Astronomy Department, the Alachua Astronomy Club, and the Florida Space Grant Consortium for an inside look at the universe beyond! Build a telescope, see a portable planetarium show, or view a moonscape in 3-D!

Join astronaut, Captain Winston Scott, for an inside look at what it takes to visit space!

Bring the whole family for a fun-filled night of astronomical proportions!

The best part is, it's FREE. Of course.

Also, I want to share a personal museum experience we had this week. We went to Orlando to visit with friends, but we needed a quick activity to do while we waited to meet up. Of course the parks are astronomically (I'm on a space kick) priced, and even going to the Orlando Science Center was going to cost $60 for our whole family. So we joined our local (see above) science museum to go to all of their temporary exhibits for free and go to the Butterfly Rainforest free (we did the membership plus). Then, whenever we travel anywhere, we can look up the museum network and visit a new museum. So we got in the Orlando Science Center for "free." Which I won't actually count any of it as free until we have used the passes enough to surpass our membership fee. So I'll give you updates later. But I am pretty excited about the future educational fun we'll be having. But the point is that in the end we will have a year of fun for less than it would have cost to go to one of Orlando's many giant money traps (which are super fun, but also super pricey). It's hard having a big family and still wanting to have fun (outside of the living room)!

Jamba Juice-Buy One Get 16 oz. for $1

Jamba Juice broke my heart when they took over Zuka juice back in my BYU days, but I soon came to realize that all fruit mixed in a blender with sugar is delicious. So I loved them in time. Sadly we don't have a Jamba nearby.
Use the store locator to see if you do.
And then print this coupon to buy one and get a 16 oz. one for $1.

Free Mrs. Fields Cookie on 10/1/09

National Cookie Month brings you a free cookie. Just show up at Mrs. Fields between 11 am and 1 pm on Thursday October 1st. Check here for your nearest store. If you live in Gainesville, it's in the mall! You can get your free cookie and free Picture People pics and your free teeny bopper socks/headbands from Sears all in the same day. It's leaving me breathless just imagining the freebiness of it all.

Coupons!

So if you knew this and didn't tell me, I am unofficially mad at you.
Publix takes all competitors coupons. So this means that if a store like CVS gives you a $5 off $25, you can redeem it at Publix. I am freaking out over all of the missed opportunities for savings.:) OK, so I'm really OK (after several hours of discount therapy), but this is huge! I always thought those coupons were junky because I hardly ever spend that much at CVS. Sigh.
If you know any other coupon tricks, post them in the comments below! Fast so I don't hyperventilate over more missed savings.

TCBY Wednesdays $.99 Waffle Cones

This is ongoing, but we took advantage of it today so thought I'd remind you guys. From 5-8 p.m. on Wednesdays, TCBY (in Millhopper -- mayber others, but I'm only sure about this location) has $.99 waffle cones. You can choose either the soft serve from the machine or the scoops.
The waffle cones aren't as big as I remember them being back in the 90s. Maybe my face was just smaller then. It's a fun treat for the kids without bringing home a bunch of sweets (which will inevitably be eaten by me in a fit of nursing hunger at about 1 am).

$10 of $10 Sears Juniors Apparel

$10 off of $10 coupon for Sears
So maybe this is a stretch for me (pun intended), but I am hoping to find $10 worth of something in the juniors' dept. at Sears. Maybe it's just a headband or some socks, and maybe it will have Hannah Montana or the Jonas Bros. on it. But dang it, I will redeem this coupon.

Free Portrait Package at Picture People

I love this sale! Go to Picture People with this coupon. You will have the photo session, and afterwards, you'll get a free 8x10, 2 5x7s, and 8 wallets of one pose of your choosing. Free Cold Stone Ice Cream, Sept. 24th

Free 3 oz. Make-A-Wish-Creation at Cold Stone Creamery.

Thursday, Sept. 24th from 5-8.

We went last year and got a sweet hook-up. We went at the end of the night. Some other friends of ours went, and got a bit shortchanged. So maybe the later you go, the better. This is purely a guess, and mostly because we are usually late anyway. So this advice fits our MO.

Here’s what their microprint says:

Donate and receive a 3 oz. sample of Jack’s Creation served out of a ready-to-love pan in a Like It™ Cup. Valid only during published date and time. While supplies last. No substitutions. Limit one per customer. An estimated 85 percent of all donations in September will benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation®

Get a free box of Total Blueberry Pomegranate Cereal.

Get a little smidge of blueberry goodness in your mailbox. And when I say smidge, I mean it. These cereal samples are a bit tiny. Apparently, I eat way more than one serving in my jumbo breakfast bowl in the morning.
