Free Pinkberry and stagecoach rides in Birmingham, AL

If you live in Birmingham, this post is for you. These are special insider tips from the people who know (which is not me, by the way). Seriously, you are going to want to know this!

First, Thursday, October 20th, is Relax By the Tracks at Railroad Park at 5 p.m. There will be music, family-friendly atmosphere, lots of space for kids to play and ride bikes, Rocky 3 at 8 p.m., and free Pinkberry frozen yogurt! Spread the word to your friends. Every time I go to these events, I am so happy I went. The kids have an amazing time and are ready to hit the sack right when we get home. Sweet relief. And did I mention free frozen yogurt from Pinkberry because that junk is delicious.

Second, Saturday, October 15th, at the Birmingham Zoo, Wells Fargo will provide free stagecoach rides from noon to 3 p.m. This is in conjunction with a healthy donation they are making to the zoo. Go, zoo! And banks too.

I'm pretty sure this is an accurate representation of the rides on Saturday.

Free Cheese Fondue at Melting Pot

I never thought anything free would come from Melting Pot. This is not a deal-seeking family restaurant. But April 11-14, 2011, you can get free cheese fondue! What do you do? Follow this link to instructions. You will then follow the four-step instructions, which include calling the restaurant to make a reservation. We called yesterday and made the reservation very easily. It just happens to be the perfect dates for my birthday celebration!

Free fry day at Chik-fil-A, March 4th

That rhymes. And is awesome. I love fries and Chik-fil-A. Go March 4th to get your free fries by mentioning that you are there to try the new Heinz Dip & Squeeze. So here's a true story. I went to Chik-fil-A at the mall recently, and after getting our food, we weaved double stroller and other children through crowded table after crowded table. We finally settled down at the opposite end of a rather large food court. We did our eating business, and just when my cup no longer ranneth o'er (meaning I needed a refill), the Chik-fil-A lady showed up and asked if she could get me one. I expect that type of thing at their store because their service is over the top. But in the middle of a crowded food court? Those people are magic elves sent from the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, or something else equally unreal. I will definitely be going for fries.

Free Egg Beaters Coupon

I really haven't ever read the ingredients on the box so they could be really full of fakeness that isn't so healthy, but they taste pretty good. Especially for free. So go here to get the coupon from Wal-mart.

Free Splash Park

If you live in Gainesville, you have to check out the free splash park in Alachua. It's perfect for the little ones who can't swim. They have the joy of splashing around in water without the risk involved with pools. Which risk is magnified for me as I will be trying to take four kids to the pool this summer. Two average swimmers and two fearless non-swimmers. It's open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., and it's at the Alachua Rec Center. If you want to go one day, call me!

Free sample of Baby Barn wash and lotion. Their products are "all-natural, organic, vegan, cruelty-free, and extremely effective." Wow, I didn't know soap could be vegan. Well, I guess it is safe to say that I have never seen my soap eat anything at all. So I guess most of the soap in my house is also vegan, or anorexic.

Free photo canvas from Canvas People

Get a free 8x10 canvas, or use the discounted amount towards the purchase of a larger canvas. You pay for shipping (prices not listed on the site, view at checkout). Visit Canvas People to start creating. When I was on earlier today, I had a hard time getting pictures to upload, maybe because the site was really busy.

Update: I was able to upload a picture. Shipping for 8x10 was $14.95, and shipping for 11x14 was $17.95.

Free sample of InkBGone

While unable to find the trash can, dishwasher, or shoe basket, my kids have a magic sense of how to discover hidden objects around the house, such as any type of permanent ink or paint. Oh, and also Christmas presents, but I don't think InkBGone helps with that.
So visit InkBGone to register and get a free 1 oz. sample of their product, which they said usually sells for $14.99. Made from natural ingredients and designed to get out Sharpie and other permanent markers from leather and more.

8 Free 8x8, 20-page photo books from Arts Cow

You have to pay $7.99 for shipping per book (at least that's what it calculated for me), but still a decent deal. They ship from Hong Kong. I've ordered from them before and didn't have a problem with my order. One of their good points is that the books are sewn, not glued, together. But some reviewers said that their Shutterfly photobooks came out with a little better photo quality.

The code for 8 free books is 88820BOOKS. It expires 3/11/10.

The site is here.
